Happy Birthday Buddha!

Well my blog is becoming a foto blog.

I can't resist but capture the colors and scenes around after the dreary, snowless, and cold winter is a profusion of colors and the freshness of greens. This is the scene at the park now. Colorful lanterns adorn the pathway - to enlighten seekers of truth, maybe? Trees are full of flowers soon they will disappear. But, they are here to stay a bit to be offered as bouquet or tree of flowers for Buddha on his birthday.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. These remind me of the cherry blossom festival in Hirosaki, Japan. The flowers bursting into bloom really do bring peace and hope.

dito sa Pinas walang Cherry Blossoms or Spring..
nakakainggit kah..
i can only imagine how it feels amidst those beauties of nature..

pero i was distracted by the lanterns.. feeling ko kalabisan at ang paligid ay maganda na and better left alone with its natural beauty!

good wishes!

very beautiful and apt for siddhartha's birthday!

@edwin, the closest you can get here in pinas would probably be madre de cacao... ganyan din ang effect pag time ng mamulaklak, pink blossoms sans the leaves.

I was in DC about a month ago and saw some gorgeous cherry blossoms while I was there. The timing couldn't have been better. They're so beautiful and fleeting.

It's been a while since I've been to Korea. Thanks for sharing your photos!

Warmly,
Kristin Park
I love pink. It's a peaceful pretty color.

Beautiful! How refreshing on a May Gray day here in Southern California.

Just what I needed to see on this windy raining winter day in the Southern Hemisphere.

"delightful sparkles of rain gently blown on a crisp breeze" is the best I can make of today.

10°C Occasional showers. Strengthening southerlies.
