I came across plurk messages of friends downloading antivirus. I was not aware of the April Fool's possible virus attack news that came up several days ago.
Well I might take a fast of my internet browsing then tomorrow... So folks be careful with your internet browsing just the same...
So I am posting here links about those news:

No joke in April Fool's Day computer worm
(CNN) -- A computer-science detective story is playing out on the Internet as security experts try to hunt down a worm called Conficker C and prevent it from damaging millions of computers on April Fool's Day.
The anti-worm researchers have banded together in a group they call the Conficker Cabal. Members are searching for the malicious software program's author and for ways to do damage control if he or she can't be stopped.
They're motivated in part by a $250,000 bounty from Microsoft and also by what seems to be a sort of Dick Tracy ethic.
"We love catching bad guys," said Alvin Estevez, CEO of Enigma Software Group, which is one of many companies trying to crack Conficker. "We're like former hackers who like to catch other hackers. To us, we get almost a feather in our cap to be able to knock out that worm. We slap each other five when we're killing those infections."
The malicious program already is thought to have infected between 5 million and 10 million computers.

The Times/Fox News
The Conficker Internet worm could strike at infected computers around the world on April 1, a security expert warned Monday.
Conficker is a sophisticated piece of malicious computer software, or malware, that installs itself on a Windows PC's hard drive via specially written Web pages. It then conceals itself on a computer.
Graham Cluley of the British security firm Sophos confirmed that Conficker is programmed "to hunt for new instructions on April 1."
However, he added, "This does not mean that anything is going to happen, or that the worm is actually going to do anything. Simply, it is scheduled to hunt a wider range of Web sites for instructions on that date."
One strange thing about Conficker is that no one yet has any idea what it is programmed to do.
In February, Cluley told The Times: "It's as if someone is assembling an army of computers around the world, but hasn't yet decided where to point them."
A worst-case scenario for April 1 would be for all the world's millions of infected computers to receive simultaneous instructions to attack, or to flood the Internet with spam e-mail.

PRESS RELEASE FOR APRIL 2009
Join PLAYBOY Philippines as it celebrates its first birthday with its biggest issue ever! Photographer KRISTINE SOGUILON lenses the magazine’s most ambitious cover yet, leading into a nautical-themed pictorial, All Hands On Deck, featuring our previous Playmates guaranteed to shiver anyone’s timbers. To document this historic shoot, we take readers Inside: Behind the Scenes of a PLAYBOY Pictorial for a special look into the work that became a labour of love for all involved. We also tag along for the Playmate Anniversary Getaway, where our girls take some well-deserved time to themselves. In the spirit of celebration, two of Deal or No Deal’s 26K Girls, ANDREA SHIN and RUBY BASCO take center stage as our Anniversary Playmates of the Month. Also exclusively, for the first time in the Philippines, we are proud to present TETCHIE AGBAYANI’s legendary pictorial, straight from the German edition's archives. Sitting down with us for 20 Questions is Senator GRINGO HONASAN, speaking on his experiences on both sides of the law. Rounding off the month is an excerpt from legendary screenwriter RICKY LEE’s recently-released first novel “Para Kay B: Ester”. Living up to PLAYBOY’s status as the ultimate men’s lifestyle magazine, we present for this month features on Andropause (the male version of menopause), and what to ask your tailor for when buying the perfect suit. It’s our birthday, ladies and gents, and you won’t believe what we’ve got coming up.
LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
PLAYBOY: YEAR ONE
A lot can happen in a year, and Heaven knows the last 12 months have been nothing, if not tumultuous, for the global economy. We in the magazine business certainly haven’t been immune: Every day, we read or hear about publications folding or opting for the online route. We at PLAYBOY believe there’s something to be said for the written word that you can hold in your hand (to say nothing of the inherent joy of physically opening a Centerfold).
I realize I would be remiss if I didn’t admit to the birthing pains that we experienced (and continue to experience, to some extent) starting out, but I would be outright negligent if I didn’t make mention of the outstanding work being put out by my core editorial team. Over the past few months, they have never ceased to impress me with their tireless energy, ability and outright enthusiasm that shows on every page of the magazine you now hold.
As we graduate from our freshman status and enter our sophomore year, I thank our readers, who have been with us since the beginning. For your loyalty, your letters, and most especially your criticisms, I thank you. For those of you picking us up for the first time, welcome to the family.
Believe me when I say, ladies and gentlemen, we’re just getting started.
In 1953, Hugh Hefner created PLAYBOY and, in the process, set the standard by which all subsequent men’s magazines would be judged.
Irreverent, yet never immature; Sexy, yet never lewd, PLAYBOY would deliver on its promise of being the ultimate men’s lifestyle magazine, featuring entertainment, politics, culture, humor and sex - all presented with a sophistication and intelligence uncommon to men’s publications before or since.
PLAYBOY’s groundbreaking combination of lifestyle and editorial content has featured contributions from some of the most important names of the journalistic, business and entertainment worlds, including Marshall McLuhan, Carl Bernstein, Bob Woodward, Alex Haley, Martin Luther King, Jr. (his last published work before his death), Shel Silverstein, Lenny Bruce, David Halberstam, Nat Hentoff, P.G. Wodehouse, Vladimir Nabokov, James Baldwin, Kenneth Tynan, Herbert Gold, T.C. Boyle, Ken Purdy, W. Somerset Maugham, Vladimir Nabokov and Gore Vidal, as well as local writers and Palanca Award winners, Butch Dalisay, Krip Yuson, Mike Marasigan and Susan S. Lara.
Literary icons who have had their works published in the pages of PLAYBOY, many exclusively, include Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Jack Kerouac, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Joyce Carol Oates, Tom Clancy, Margaret Atwood, Michael Crichton and John Updike.
PLAYBOY has featured some of the most beautiful women in the world, from its girl-next-door Playmates to celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Cindy Crawford, Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, Denise Richards, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Pamela Anderson, Ursula Andress, Kim Basinger, Shannen Doherty, Brooke Burke, Gena Lee Nolin, Charisma Carpenter, Drew Barrymore, Daryl Hannah, Naomi Campbell, Bo Derek, Katarina Witt, Stephanie Seymour, Farrah Fawcett and Sharon Stone.
PLAYBOY Interview and 20 Questions subjects are the movers and shakers of their chosen fields. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Fidel Castro, Jimmy Hoffa (Hoffa's last interview before his disappearance), Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat, Muhammad Ali, The Beatles, John Lennon, Miles Davis, Edu and Luis Manzano, Ryan Cayabyab, Tetchie Agbayani, Gloria Diaz, Atty. Felipe Gozon, Chavit Singson, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Sen. Gringo Honasan, and Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos, have all taken their turns, speaking candidly on anything and everything that came to mind.

I started blogging in 2004 when I was an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) in Saudi Arabia. A mixed of boredom, anxiety and anger made me blog. Aside from writing journal I learned to blog and mostly pictures in the beginning. I was supposed to go back home after my 2 year contract expired but we were forced to stay and finish the project for another 5 months. I was so nostalgic of home, family and friends. Yet I and my co-workers got extended and exploited by the company with a 4-5 months delayed release of salary. Indeed it was harsher than a Saharan winter and the onslaught of sandstorm ushering in an oven hot temperature of summer.
My saving grace was COMSOFIL (Computer Society of Filipinos – International) for the opportunity to do volunteer work. COMSOFIL offers computer classes to OFWs in Riyadh (it has now branched out to other Cities of KSA ). I had a chance to help conduct a class, take minutes of the board meeting, served as a speech writer of two of its president. We had parties and organizational programs at estrahas (rented out desert resort places), since it is not allowed for men and women to mix in public or have gatherings. I also had an opportunity to experience Toastmaster through TOC (Toast of COMSOFIL) and finished the basic communication and leadership program.
The spirit of voluntarism is the most admirable nature of COMSOFIL. The instructors are themselves IT practitioners who offers their services to their compatriots on voluntary basis every Friday.. During my last year of stay in 2005 at least there were 500 enrollees to its various courses. IT Olympics were also held to culminate each semester.
Leadership skills are honed among its officers and their commitment to help others is commendable. This initiative of COMSOFIL is admired gaining recognition from the OFW community and also the embassy. Their effort as model is now being replicated.
I am happy to be of help and maintain my connections in the Middle East, through my sadiqs or friends. One them is kenji whom I came across online. He recently conducted the Pinoy OFW/Expat Blog Award and I helped him come up with the judging criteria. He is again asking friends to repost and promote Project Twitch to help a kababayan in distress. Indeed an OFW has only him/herself to rely on. It would be great if fellow OFWs lend a kind helping hand. In this case it is kenji who initiated an effort to help a fellow OFW through his blog.
Well it is a consolation if the Philippine Consulate or Embassy can extend assistance. But most often than not, never would an OFW rely support from an agency that is supposed to protect and promote the welfare of its people abroad much more its migrant workers who serve as pillars of its economy.

It is not uncommon for my blog to appear on google search for the words - love+life, well my blog posts are stories of my life and others and definitely it features my passion and love for life.
So adding to the tome of my entries on love and life is a poem by Edgar Lee Masters below:
Edgar Lee Masters (1868–1950).
Spoon River Anthology. 1916.
207. Lucinda Matlock
I WENT to the dances at Chandlerville,
And played snap-out at Winchester.
One time we changed partners,
Driving home in the moonlight of middle June,
And then I found Davis. 5
We were married and lived together for seventy years,
Enjoying, working, raising the twelve children,
Eight of whom we lost
Ere I had reached the age of sixty.
I spun, I wove, I kept the house, I nursed the sick, 10
I made the garden, and for holiday
Rambled over the fields where sang the larks,
And by Spoon River gathering many a shell,
And many a flower and medicinal weed—
Shouting to the wooded hills, singing to the green valleys. 15
At ninety-six I had lived enough, that is all,
And passed to a sweet repose.
What is this I hear of sorrow and weariness,
Anger, discontent and drooping hopes?
Degenerate sons and daughters, 20
Life is too strong for you—
It takes life to love Life.

I created a new blog and here's an excerpt:
Let’s help one another. It is too cumbersome to apply for a lost ID. It entails money, lost time, effort plus all those hassles of filling up forms, securing affidavit of lost, queuing lines, dealing with bureaucracy and whatnots.
Let us know where you have found those lost IDs. If you have a digital camera we encourage you to take photos of them and have them posted on this blog (photo line/blog/website link). Or if you do not have access to a digital camera we hope someone out there could volunteer to take fotos of them and have them posted.
Maybe you left your ID in some particular place and could not go to that place because of your circumstance let us know and let us see if there will be volunteer to check it out and verify it for you.
And if you are familiar with the person whose ID have been found, do let the person know about it and the details where it can be reclaim.
Should you find an ID or a document that is important for those people who have lost them you may turn them over to the nearest police station in your place, to your barangay captain and other institutions that you trust.

Tubig at Kuryente.

Tamed bunnies were on the loose at Sulo Hotel for a presscon of Playboy Philippines. Young and very sweet models graced March 2009 issue. Present at the presscon were cover girl Sara Polverini, an Italian-Pinay mix very matured looking on the cover but at the presscon she looks radiantly youngish and adorable and centerfold girl Jessie Medina, dazzling and gorgeous both on paper and peeled-off the paper.
Compared to other Playboy mag in other countries the Philippine issue would be considered prudish. Its managing editor Mikhail Lecaros maintained that the mag is classy, tasteful and artsy in nature. Add to that literary, several pinoy great writers contribute to the mag following a tradition. The second installment of Ricky Lee’s first novel Para kay B is featured for its fiction selections. Aside from the usual lifestyle and entertainment pages, the Playboy Forum tackles hot issues (well not what you think, that should be a regular fare, right?), am referring to social-cultural-economic-political issue in particular global migration and Filipino Diaspora (the OFW in me, hehehe).
Thanks to Azrael for the invite. Through him am getting a feel of what Pinoy bloggers are up to these days. Few weeks back I came to know an event through plurk. So I got a chance to attend a wifi test at SM City Marikina a supposed to be blogging event that turned to plurking event and met several people whom I would greet and chat through plurk.
Well, I hope that my women and feminist friends will not take this against me. International Women’s Day is just few days to go. Definitely I am not into commodification of women’s body (just into appreciation of a woman’s body as an art form, hmmm.. does it still sounds not sooo politically correct?). And to think that Playboy’s Big Boss have even co-opted the word empowerment, “Women have embraced the brand in a way that was unthinkable 20 years ago. What previously was seen as a male chauvinist brand now is seen by women as a source of empowerment as well. That makes me very happy.” Happy indeed is Hef that his empire is continued to be admired and Playboy Philippines will soon be celebrating its first year anniversary next month.
Okey my reason maybe lame but read what Fashion Designer Laura Whitcomb has to say, “When I was a fashion stylist, I’d always turn down any job demeaning to women, but I think PLAYBOY is the only magazine of that type not demeaning. The women are empowered in their sexuality. Our clothes are based on sexiness, because that’s a token of empowerment.” Hmmm, getting mixed-up with my notion of women empowerment.
So what is your take?
