4YOBlog - Happy Birthday to my blog

4 years and blogging on... Below is a video of Ayen and Nom's birthday celebration in Ilocos . Very raw, unedited, like the rustic scene of Ilocos (still unchanged/few changes), and very natural like the pulse of life flowing from the faces and voices as the birthday song "Pada-padakam nga Kumablaaw" (All gathered here to greet you happy birthday) is sung. Listening to the music and watching the scene evokes nostalgia of my vacation early this month and the good old days celebrating my birthdays in Ilocos. Yes it has been four years of blogging. Vacation Trip to Ilocos

Below are links of my blog posts from our family blog: The slide show is that of my 'kins (nieces and nephews) doing water color and playing in the fields at the height of an afternoon burning sun. So they played until the evening running around and spraying other kids with their water gun. http://rahonfamily.blogspot.com/2008/06/water-color-and-play-with-kins.html Nom, daughter Shekinah and son Andre Birthday girl Ayen (Ryan and Vjoy's duaghter) Nom and Ryan's Family (tatay is partly hidden) I've heard again after so loooong time (felt so sentimental hearing the song I would hear when celebrating bdays in Ilocos as a kid) "pada-padakam a kumablaaw" (all gathered here to great you happy birthday). One of the highlights of the singing is the crowning and giving of flowers to the celebrators. http://rahonfamily.blogspot.com/2008/06/birthday-co-celebration-of-ayen-and-nom.html
