Takbong Pangarap is Joy’s dream run, the ultimate (but perhaps not the penultimate) run of her life after proving herself that she can reach Pagudpud from Davao on foot. Covering a distance of 2,000 km South to North of the Philippines. Why run, like Forrest Gump? Joy derives happiness in running. It is also her goal to inspire people to live longer with a healthier lifestyle and raise funds for the two beneficiaries of the run. Both the Social Services Division of the Philippine Heart Center and the Anti-TB Program of the Inner Wheel Club of Quezon City District 378 will benefit from this project. Election today in Korea, Blast off yesterday

It rained last night and it is still raining. It is parliamentary election here today in Korea but it is expected that votes won't flood in the polling places since voters seem not interested to vote. Especially that policy agenda is lacking in the platform of candidates. Although the current conservative party is expected to win most seats, swing votes may affect a great deal the result of this unpredictable election. I am also closely watching the First Filipina to run in the Korean Assembly if she will make it. I hope she will be given a chance to prove her capability in implementing the policy agenda she outlined in this election. Another first, is the first Korean female astronaut to blast off to the outer space. Below is an excerpt of the news: Koreans were jubilant on Tuesday (April 8) as the country’s first astronaut, Yi So-yeon, blasted off from a space center in central Asia and headed toward the International Space Center (ISS). Russia’s space agency confirmed 10 min...

Indeed the Korean society is changing a great deal. The birth rate is increasing and a significant portion of the increase is coming from multicultural families. I do hope to see Judith Alegre Fernandez fulfilling the agenda she set for her platform. I created a particular blog about this trend focused on Filipino-Korean families, but have not updated on a regular basis I call the blog Kosians. Here is an excerpt of the news: The Creative Korea Party recommended Judith Alegre Fernandez (37) as proportional representation for the general election held in April. A new chapter is expected to open in Korean political history as recognizing electoral eligibility of migrants. Moon Kook-hyun, the leader of the party, talked about the significance of this recommendation on the phone interview with IBMK. Criticizing that exi...
