Indeed I enjoyed listening to the podcast of Gary Granada about his claim against GMA Kapuso taking advantage of his works. I particularly like the parts where he discussed basic elements of musical composition, probability, etc., but most of all the lesson of courage of challenging giant network for his claim for justice. It is like the voice of the few Filipino people who continue with their fight against corruption in the Philipine government or with the GMA (Gloria Macapagal Arroyo) Administration. The like of Granada and the few crusading people make me believe indeed there's still hope... And if you look very closely, it says “study”, not “final version”. So I have a very simple question. Which came first: A. Second composer submits final version; or B. I came to learn about this issue of Gary Granada vs GMA Kapuso Foundation and Procter and Gamble at plurk. Well most plurkers are bloggers themselves and most of plurkers are very progressive and enlightened on social, political and other issues, showbiz included. Gary Granada is one of the best loved composers and singers among social development/NGO workers, activists and those who appreciate real good music. Winner of several pop music fests and very talented jingle composer. A fan of the famed PBA basketball team Ginebra and popularized the word Barangay Ginebra among its loyal fans.
